Max Davis
Max was virtually born in a dance studio, and has grown into an accomplished performer, choreographer and technical coach with an exceptionally broad skill set.

Growing up at Niche, Max trained extensively across dance and performance, alongside six years of study at the Victorian College of the Arts, before being accepted into the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA). His background across dance, acrobatics and circus has shaped the versatile and highly technical approach he now brings to his teaching.
At Niche, Max is our Head of Acrobatics and leads the Acrobatics Exam Program, working with students to develop strong foundations, safe technique, confidence and increasingly advanced skills. He also teaches acrobatics at Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS).
Alongside his regular teaching, Max offers private technical coaching across all dance styles, working individually with dancers on technique, strength, flexibility, acrobatics, exam work and the specific skills they want to develop.
Max’s professional performance experience began early, including tapping as a penguin at the Australian opening of Happy Feet when he was just eight. Since then, his experience as a dancer, performer and choreographer has continued to shape the teacher he is today.
Having grown up at Niche himself, Max brings something particularly valuable to our students, a genuine understanding of both the training and the culture that sit behind what we do.
