Anna Griffiths 


Anna Griffiths is a Melbourne based contemporary dance artist. She has performed and trained under the close direction of many renowned international teachers and choreographers, including Adam Wheeler (current director of TasDance), Bradley Chatfeild (Sydney Dance Company), Gabrielle Nankivell, Daniel Jaber, Yuiko Masukawa, Era Jouravlev and Paul Malek...just to name a few!


Anna is a graduate of Transit Dance's Diploma of Elite performance, majoring in contemporary dance. Anna has also trained full time with Melbourne City Ballet and the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC under Era Jouravlev. Whilst training at the Joffrey Ballet School's summer intensive, Anna was personally offered a full scholarship to their traineeship program by Miss Era. During the years of full time training Anna also took the time to perform with Melbourne City Ballet's youth company and Origins youth contemporary dance company and compete in Dance Architect - Youth Choreography competition as a finalist.


In 2015, Anna was given the opportunity to assist preparing Niche's youngest students for their Cecchetti exams. It was here that she discovered her passion for teaching, she has spent the years since building on those skills. In 2021, Anna has begun teaching contemporary at Niche, developing a syllabus of exercises to build strength and technique and encouraging students to find their own movement styles through improvisation and collaborative tasking.


Anna is continuing to build her repertoire of qualifications, studying for the Cecchetti Associate's Degree, in teaching, and the Enrico Cecchetti Diploma.
